Light the Lake

3rd Annual Light the Lake!

On the evening of Saturday, September 3 we invite CLIA members to join in and help light up our amazing Crooked Lake shoreline!  The CLIA will have available for each association member two free flares to place at your beach front area at dusk.  Time to light your flares is 9:00 PM.

CLIA members can pick up their flares at Cindy Rank's house (1010 Hillcrest) from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 2, or from 12:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 3.  Tickets will also be for sale at Cindy’s house so don’t forget to bring a little extra cash. Drawings will be on Saturday.

We encourage everyone to take pictures and videos.  Our hope is to make this an annual event to help everyone recognize what an amazing lake and community we have!

Let's LIGHT THE LAKE together!

Summerfest Fireworks Show

THIS EVENT STARTS AT DUSK

This popular event is once again planned for dusk on the second Saturday in July. It all started with one guy and his friends shooting fireworks. Now this lake-wide event has become one of the most popular community events. A few fireworks has grown thanks to the donations from each and everyone one.

Volunteers Needed

Fireworks barges are prepared during the day and anchored in the middle of the lake at dusk. Volunteers to help a little or a lot are needed. No skills necessary. Help is needed to connect barges, open MANY cardboard boxes, and much more. Anyone interested please contact the CLIA board or Rob Wyble. Learn more

For more information please contact the CLIA Board at clia@crookedlakeclarecounty.com.

Pirate Day - Treasure Hunt

After a HUGE success (again) last year, the CLIA board will host its third annual Pirate Day – Treasure Hunt on Saturday, June 25 from 12:00 PM -2:00 PM, for all children on the lake.  Children are invited to dress up like a pirate and ride around on their boat with their families, visiting from dock-to-dock, in search of “treasure” (similar to trick-or-treating house to house for Halloween). For more information, click here.
